1: Harvest Thanksgiving

On the morning of Sunday 10th October, we have our Harvest Thanksgiving service; in it we give real thanks to the Lord for all His goodness toward us this year.
During the meeting, we have a special offering - all of this is then given away to local causes in and around Shoreham. After the meeting, we then share in a lunch together - all are welcome.

4: Autumn

The summer break is over and we all get back to work or school or play group. During the last few weeks we have been studying the book of James - challenging and a good preparation for the months ahead.
Later on [10th October] we have our Harvest Service and thank offering. Not the old traditional bringing of fruit and veg - we bring money as an expression of thanks to and trust in God. This is then given away entirely. Sometimes to local causes and sometimes to specific projects abroad. If you have any ideas, then please let the Ray or the deacons know.
5: Hope for Justice - a ‘Bit of a Do’ on Saturday 22nd May

Support ‘Hope for Justice’ - fight against people trafficking and modern slavery.
Update: we had a brilliant evening - thanks to John & Julia Lillywhite and their team. The auction, under Dave Buck’s mighty hammer, raised £944 and, with your other donations, we were able to send a grand total of £1185!
We supported this brilliant charity, with dinner, dance and a promise auction - over thirty one outstanding promises to bid for - listed here.

6: The Great 2010 Easter Egg Giveaway

Lead by Ian & Karen Wells housegroup, people from Shoreham Baptist Church gave away over 1440 Cadbury’s Creme Eggs at the Shoreham Saturday Market on Saturday 13th March.
7: Vivacious Conference

Ladies - if you are still wondering about going to the Vivacious conference in May [13th-15th], you can still get the early bird discount - the deadline has now been extended until Friday 25th March.
Its going to be held in City Coast Church in Hove this year, so no accommodation fees for us!
We highly recommend it - lots of us will be going!
8: Quiz Night in March

We are holding another quiz night on Saturday 20th March. This will start at 7.30pm and finish around 10pm.
You are asked for a contribution of £2.50 to cover refreshments and prizes.
The evening is open to everybody so do bring a friend or two.
9: Haiti Earthquake Aid

Just to let you know that we gave, as a church, just over £1690 to help the survivors of the Haiti earthquake in January.
