Walking around Shoreham-by-Sea

A number of us in the church love walking, being out in the fresh air, seeing the sites and the wild-life and being in friendly company. So we have decided to get together to explore the beautiful countryside round about:

  • Up the Adur valley
  • Over the Downs - [Truleigh Hill, Devils Dyke, Chanctonbury & Cissbury rings etc]
  • Along the coast
  • The levels round Bramber & Steyning
  • Over toward Arundle

Every one is welcome. We will arrange cars as necessary, as most of our trips will be out of town. Generally we will follow a circular route ending at a suitable hostelry for rest and refreshment. Normally our walks will be from 1 to 2 hours long, occasionally longer.

Organisers: Tim & Jenny Holter

When: irregularly, but normally on a saturday or sunday afternoon, with occasional mid week outings

Times: watch below for details

Clothing: suitable for an english summer! [boots or stout shoes, plus waterproofs!!]

Schedule

Our first walk was last year and went really well - we had about 20 people come.

Unfortunately, for various good reasons, we were not able to organise another walk in 2006, but we are aiming to do more in 2007.
