Puppets Group
At Shoreham Baptist Church, we have found that puppets can be used to clearly explain some of the things that God has to say in the bible
- and not just for the young.
There is a small group of puppeteers who regularly meet for training [which includes a short bible study, and puppeteer techniques], researching teaching materials and rehearsals for performances. So far we have performed during church services, for the children’s work in our church [including our half term holiday club] and we also take our puppets into the wider community.
Organisers: Julia Hough

School assemblies
We now have quite a lot of experience in doing school assemblies in the Shoreham schools.
We bring a fresh interpretation of bible stories which really engages the children. We make the assemblies fun, exciting and interactive. The puppets are regular team members! This is combined with talks and songs to make a complete and very memorable time.
We have also been invited to take RE lessons; these were very successful, with good reports from the teachers. As a result some of the schools have arranged to look around the church building.
Please feel free to contact us via the church office, if you would like us to take an assembly or class!
